The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), chairman, Uday Bhaskar said that a notification to fill 18,450 posts in various departments in the state will be issued shortly. Mr Bhaskar said that notification will be issued for Group I posts 182, Group II 337 posts, Group III 1.670 posts, home department 3,000 posts, medical and health 1,604, lecturers 725, others 1,657 and teaching 9,275.




A committee will be appointed to give suggestions about the syllabus for the examinations. The examination calendar to overcome the clash of Group I and UPSC examinations will be released. Within six to 12 months the posts will be filled and 40 to 50 notifications will be released as per the schedule, he added. To save time, Uniform syllabus will be used for Group U preliminary and mains examinations.




He added that if the government permits. APPSC would conduct the exams to fill the posts of school teachers instead of the DSC. He said the Police Recruitment Board would conduct the examination to fill the police department posts.
